Toronto held it’s first All-Star themed Gala in support of Sick Kids Hospital at the majestic Arcadian Court. Over 1000 young professionals gathered together to enjoy cocktails and had a chance to meet some of their favourite athletes and TV personalities, as well as experience performances from Aion Clarke and Juno-nominee Glenn Morrison.
Early in the evening, Sick Kids ambassador, David Maggiori addressed the crowd with a heartfelt story about how Sick Kids helped him during his time of need and that due to their tireless efforts, he is alive and well today.
Some of the honourary guests of the night included: Toronto Maple Leafs’ Peter Holland, Morgan Rielly, and Gregg McKegg, Edmonton Oilers’ Luke Gazdic, Boston Bruins’ Derek Roy, Montreal Canadiens’ Christian Thomas and many more.
Between ticket sales and a luxurious silent auction, the All-Star Gala was able to raise $68,000 for the Sick Kids Hospital.
With a full line of A-list athletes donating their time and for such an amazing cause, this event is certainly soon to be a staple amongst Toronto’s charity party scene.
