Every year, Toronto promises to hold one event that always brings forth the largest and most legendary celebrities in the world.
No, it’s not TIFF. It’s the David Foster Miracle Gala, held by none other than the 16-time Grammy winning producer who has created timeless classics such as, “Hard to Say I’m Sorry” by Chicago, and “Tell Him” by Celine Dion and Barbara Streisand.
This year was nothing less of brilliant with a star studded purple carpet at the Mattamy Athletic Centre. VIP guests of honour included Sean Jones (Singer), Ben Mulroney (TV Personality), and Jim Treliving (Dragon’s Den) just to name a few.
One of the first performers to step onto the carpet was Peter Cetera, casually strutting through the crowd and greeting media.
Following was Canadian sweetheart Kiesza, who greeted photographers with her fun and spunky energy, and doing all sorts of fun poses in a mermaid inspired 2 piece outfit, and her signature mohawk styled coif.
Finally, the headliner of the night was none other than the iconic, Stevie Wonder.
Naturally, things went slightly chaotic once he made his appearance.
The man of the evening, David Foster, was a firecracker on the carpet. Due to his excitement, it seemed that getting him in a solid pose for a picture would be impossible.
Eventually he posed with Wonder, and playfully informed the crowd that the pair were still discussing which songs to play for that evening.
The funds raised from the evening will go towards the David Foster Foundation’s 30×30, which aims to raise $30,000,000 by the gala’s 30-year anniversary in 2017.
The David Foster Foundation supports the non-medicinal expenses of families with children undergoing life-saving pediatric organ transplants.
