Do you have the lady balls to do something about ovarian cancer? This was the question that Ovarian Cancer Canada dared to ask their guests at The Lady Ball.
The event took place at Rebel nightclub in downtown Toronto and raised funds for the foundation with an incredible live (and silent) auction which were hosted by Canada’s hilarious Jessica Holmes.
Endless amounts of gourmet food and drinks were provided for guests, including dishes that were fitting to the “Country Glam” theme.
The night kicked off with a star-studded runway show filled with celebrities and ovarian cancer survivors.
Some of the runway stars included: David Chilton (Dragon’s Den), Mike and Rhianna Weaver, Jessica Mitchell, Dean Brody, Catherine Reitman (Workin’ Moms, It’s Always Sunny In Philidelphia), Juno Rinaldi (Workin’ Moms), Sheila McCarthy (Little Mosque On The Prairie.)
This was later followed by a touching performance from country singer, Jessica Mitchell, who revealed to the crowd that she had lost her mother to ovarian cancer. Along with the powerful performance came a heartwarming tribute to a group of courageous women who have fought and beat ovarian cancer.
The night ended with a fiery performance from country superstar, Dean Brody, who brought down the house with an explosive after party.
